Credit Union robbery suspect taken into custody
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A suspect involved in a stand-off with Grand Rapids police has surrendered.
Tuesday evening police executed a search warrant at a home at 70 Grand Avenue, northeast near Fountain Street.
Police say they were searching for the man who robbed the Lake Michigan Credit Union Monday afternoon inside Mercy Health Saint Mary's hospital.

Officers spent about two hours on bull horns encouraging the man to surrender. Just before 9:30 p.m. he finally agreed to come out of the home peacefully.
Initially there were concerns he might have a hostage inside, but police say he did not. He was also unarmed.
