Grand Rapids (WZZM) - Potholes are becoming a problem every where, but on Fuller just south of Knapp in Grand Rapids they claimed at least three tires this morning. Construction cones have now been placed in the worst of them to alert drivers, but that was too late for some morning commuters like Rob Van Loenen.
"I was on my way to work this morning and I got in a horrible pot hole," explains Van Loenen. "It was pretty violent when I saw a mini van hub cap fly over me." Rob lost two tires on his passenger side and his rim got bent.
"This road should have been fixed a long time ago," explains Van Loenen.
The total cost to his Subaru will be around $1000 for two new tires and a new rim. He was out taking pictures of the pothole in hopes that he can get some reimbursement from the city.
