HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A restaurant has reopened six days after a norovirus outbreak that sickened 300 people.

The Wild Chef Japanese Steakhouse voluntarily closed last Tuesday after the Ottawa County Department of Public Health received numerous reports of stomach illnesses. Health officials say lab tests returned Monday confirmed the outbreak was norovirus.

The restaurant reopened Monday after meeting health department requirements, including disinfecting all equipment and surfaces, and providing training on food preparation practices, hand washing, glove use, and reporting illnesses. Wild Chef also discarded all prepared foods
