HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Holland Police say an intersection will remain closed until this evening following a major natural gas line break. It happened Tuesday morning at E. 48th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
The department of public safety is not evacuating businesses or residents because high wind speed and a favorable wind direction was helping disperse the natural gas.
The intersection of 48th and Lincoln is likely to be closed for much of the day. Northbound M-40 traffic should us northbound Industrial Avenue to northbound U.S. 31.
Southbound M-40 is closed at U.S. 31. Traffic is being detoured to 32nd Street, east to Waverly Road, then south on Waverly to M-40.
WZZM 13 is on the scene, we will have more information on WZZM 13 News at Noon and online throughout the day.
