HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) - A brand new attraction is opening at the Nelis' Dutch Village in Holland.
Harry's Windmill Ride will make guests feel like they're riding on the fins of an authentic Dutch windmill, soaring nearly 50 feet into the air.
The opening of the ride coincides with the ride's namesake, Harry Nelis's 80th birthday. The village purchased the 1940's ferris wheel from a Chicago-area amusement park and spent months renovating the ride.
Now it looks similar to an authentic 300-year old windmill in Holland and the park's president says the ride is expected to make the village more attractive to the whole family.
