KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police say the search will resume Tuesday for a man missing at a Kalamazoo lake.

Police believe 56-year-old Takashi Sugimori may have fallen into a lake last week while cross country skiing and died.

The man was reported missing around 10 a.m. Thursday after skiing onto Asylum Lake off Parkview Drive.

Kalamazoo College says Sugimori's wife, Noriko, teaches Japanese at the college. The couple has a daughter who is a senior there.

Last week search teams spotted tracks leading onto the lake. The Kalamazoo County Dive Team was called to the scene but could not search safely for the man because of rain and shifting ice on the lake.

Crews returned to the lake Friday to search for Sugimori but were unsuccessful.

Police say foul play is not suspected.
