UPDATE: Holland Police say they have a man in custody for the robbery of the Speedway Gas Station on Chicago Drive.

Detectives received information on the man's identity after releasing surveillance images from the gas station.

Officers found him leaving the Microtel Inn on Hastings Avenue early Monday morning.


Holland, Mich. (WZZM) - Holland Police have released surveillance pictures hoping you will recognize the man they say robbed a Speedway Gas Station on Chicago Drive.

This happened just after two Sunday morning. Police say the suspect, who did not cover his face, demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect implied he had a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk if he did not hand over the money.

The man then left with the money heading south. Police set up a perimeter and brought in dogs to track the suspect, but they did not find him.

The suspect is a tall, white man, six feet tall,with a chin beard. He was wearing a blue striped hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone with information or who can identify the suspect from the surveillance pictures is asked to call 911 or Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911. You can also call Silent Observer at 1-877-887-4536.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
