ZEELAND, Mich. (WZZM)-- A company brought out of bankruptcy in 2007 is providing evidence that the economy is gaining steam.

Woodways, which manufactures custom cabinetry, serves both residential and commercial customers and the company is hard pressed to keep up with demand.

Suzanne Rudnitzki co-owns the company with her husband Volker. She says the company has grown 500% since the early years. They've invested heavily in technology and retained local workers with decades of cabinet making experience.

"This is an advantage for us that it's made in Michigan. We have the reputation for having a quality workforce and making things out of wood because that's the heritage in Michigan and people know that," Rudnitzki said Wednesday.

Their main showroom is in Grand Rapids. Others are in Zeeland, Mexico, and Chicago. Made in Michigan has a brand of quality Rudnitzki says.
