LUDINGTON, Mich. (WZZM) -- A 20-inch water main broke, creating a 30 foot geyser Thursday morning at the corner of Filer and Robert streets.

Ludington City Manager John Shay says a contractor working to run a cable TV line to Ludington Municipal Marina hit the water line

The Ludington Daily News reports the water main was shut down and water is no longer flowing out in that area.

As of noon, there was no water flowing to One Ludington Place, Crosswinds, Waterfront Park and Harbor View Marina as repairs were being made.

Low water pressure was being reported west of Robert Street along Ludington Avenue.

The city's Utility Maintenance Department is working with the contractor to resolve the problem.
