GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Have your shovels and snowblowers ready because another blast of winter is headed for West Michigan.

The National Weather Service issued aWinter Storm Warning for the WZZM 13 viewing area, effective Noon Thursday through Noon Friday.

The 13 On Target Weather Team is predicting generally 4-8 inches of snow for the area, with heaviest accumulation along and north of I-96. The snow will be heavy and wet and should pick up in intensity through the day Thursday.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Van Buren, Kalamazoo, and Calhoun Counties, with less snow forecast along the I-94 corridor.
