MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- A family of six is without a home after an overnight fire on Apple Avenue.
It happened near the corner of Forest Road around 2 o'clock Thursday morning. When firefighters arrived on the scene they say part of the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Three adults and three children all made it out of the home okay. The homeowner believes the fire started in the laundry room, but there's no word at this time on what may have caused the fire.
The deputy fire chief tells WZZM 13 News that the home is a total loss. The Red Cross is stepping in to help the family.
