MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Detectives are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old man to the hospital late Tuesday night.
Shortly before midnight, police were responding to a fight near the intersection of Southern Ave. and Division St. in Muskegon when a 911 caller gave an update on the incident, saying shots had been fired since the first call.
When officers arrived on-scene, they stopped a car that was leaving the scene. The gunshot victim was in that car and had a non-life-threatening injury to his hand.
Officers also recovered a handgun at the scene, but they don't know if it's the one used in the shooting.
Investigators say at this point there's no indication this incident is related to any other.
