MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - Muskegon-area leaders want to show a national organization their community is serious about healthy living. Members of the Health Initiative Coordinating Council, or "Hiccup," will be in Muskegon Tuesday to tour the area.

Muskegon County is in the group's "Way to Wellville" contest, a five-year process to improve measures of health at the community level, while generating financial returns. Ten cities are under consideration in the contest.

Muskegon leaders are asking people to support the effort by coming to the Muskegon Farmers Market between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. There will be demonstrations, a healthy food demo cart, and booths for agencies supporting Muskegon's bid in the contest.
