ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM) - Rockford-based Wolverine Worldwide is celebrating a record-breaking year.
The footwear manufacturer announced earnings are up 25% and year-end revenue rose 64%. In 2012, the company acquired a cluster of national shoe brands making it the third largest footwear company in the world.
Last year, Wolverine decided to relocate some of its operations to Indiana. The company is eliminating 90 customer service jobs in Rockford, but plans to hire 70 professional employees this year. The chairman and CEO says the company has made "tremendous progress" and is positioned for continued success.
