An audio recording was released over the weekend of a conversation between a man alleged to be Sterling having a conversation with his girlfriend making several racist statements.

It set off a firestorm of response from NBA players, former players and owners. Adam Silver, who has been commissioner since David Stern's retirement in February, faces his first major issue dealing with this matter.

Sterling did not attend Sunday's game between the Clippers and the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. No word yet on if he will be at Game 5 at the Staples Center Tuesday.
