TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Deputies are investigating an early morning crash in Ottawa County that injured two people -- one victim needing to be airlifted from the scene by AeroMed.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, dispatch was called around 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 4 about a traffic crash involving two cars near the intersection of Johnson Street and Ironwood Drive in Tallmadge Township.
A teen driver was headed south on Ironwood Drive when they crashed into a 37-year-old man from Caledonia. The man was pinned in his car and needed to be cut out by responding emergency crews.
He suffered injuries significant enough that he needed to be flown to Butterworth Hospital by AeroMed. Deputies say he is currently in critical condition.
The teen driver was also transported to Butterworth, they're in stable condition.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department says deputies will continue to investigate this incident.
