Motorcyclist airlifted after t-boning a car in Mecosta County

MORTON TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A motorcyclist was airlifted from the scene of a crash in Mecosta County after t-boning a vehicle at an intersection Friday evening.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 8:40 p.m., at the intersection of 11 Mile Road and 90th Avenue, near the Mecosta Morton Airport.

Deputies say the vehicle was traveling northbound on 90th Avenue when it was t-boned by the motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound on 11 Mile Road. 

The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle in the crash and needed to be airlifted to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
