2 semi-trucks force westbound I-96 to close on Kent, Ionia line

BOSTON TOWNSHIP, MICH. - There are no injuries in a crash on westbound I-96 near the Kent and Ionia County line, which forced the freeway to close for several hours.

The crash, which happened after 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24, initially blocked the right lane and its shoulder earlier in the afternoon but police later closed the highway to clean up the mess.

An Ionia County dispatcher reports no injuries.

It's not yet known what caused the two trucks to crash.
