Turning Up the Heat

Wednesday was a mostly sunny and milder day with temperatures in the mid 70s to near 80°.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear and milder with temperatures in the low to mid 50s north and mid 50s to near 60° elsewhere. Look for an opportunity to see the International Space Station for about 5½ minutes starting at 5:00 am, rising 17° above the WSW horizon, reaching an altitude of 68° above the NNW horizon, and departing 10° above the E horizon. Winds will be south-southeast at 5-10 mph inland and southeast at 6-12 mph along the lakeshore.

Thursday will be mostly sunny, warmer and more humid with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s inland and low to mid 80s along the lakeshore with dewpoints approaching 60°. Winds will be breezy from the south at 10-20 mph.

Thursday night will become mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a brief shower after midnight as a cold front slides through the region. Temperatures will slip into the mid 60s. Winds will be south, shifting to the west at 10-20 mph inland and south at 15-25 mph, shifting to the west at 7-14 mph along the lakeshore.

Friday will be sunny and a little cooler with temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80°. Winds will be west at 7-14 mph inland and southwest at 7-14 along the lakeshore.

Saturday will be partly sunny, warmer and more humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially along and north of I-96. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid 80s with dewpoints in the 60s. Winds will be southeast-southwest at 7-14 mph inland and southeast-southwest at 6-12 mph along the lakeshore.

Sunday will be partly cloudy, hot and very humid with temperatures approaching 90° and dewpoints reaching 70°. Winds will be southwest.

Memorial Day will be partly sunny, hot and very humid with temperatures in the low 90s and dewpoints in the 70s. Winds will be southwest. Showers and thunderstorms are likely late Monday and Monday night.

Tuesday will become partly cloudy, cooler and less humid with temperatures in mid 70s. Winds will be northwest.

Wedneday will be mostly sunny and cooler with temperatures around 70°. Winds will be northwest.
