GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Mild air punches northward with our next round of precipitation moving swiftly into West Michigan.
Most of the area's air temperature will remain above freezing, leaving us with a predominately rain event. Many area rivers are under flood advisories, watches and warnings.
The additional rain may lead to more flooding concerns.

Farther north, the temperature profile will be closer to freezing. Depending on how thick the layer of sub-freezing air is, areas near U.S. 10 might experience anything from rain, freezing rain, sleet and finally snow as the colder air begins to filter in Thursday.
Travel northward will become hazardous and very slippery overnight.
