Thursday was yet another cold and snowy day across West Michigan with 2-4" of light snow and temperatures well below average - in the upper 10s to low 20s; average highs are around the mid 30s.
Thursday night, lake-effect snow showers will diminish to flurries with temperatures holding steady in the 10s. Winds will be west at 8-16 mph inland and then gradually become calm by daybreak while lakeshore winds will be west at 10-20 mph, shifting to the north at 5-10 mph. Wind chills will be around 3-8°.
Friday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy and not as cold with light snow developing along and south of US-10 where 1-3" is likely. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s. Winds will increase from the east to 5-10 mph inland and 6-12 mph along the lakeshore. Wind chills will be around 19-22°.
