GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - This week in 2014 was the snowiest November week in Grand Rapids history.
More than two feet of snow fell in only five days, beginning on Nov. 16. The week would climax on Nov. 18 when almost 10-inches of snow fell.
The month ended with 31-inches of snow in Grand Rapids making it the snowiest November all-time.
The week was also bitterly cold. The high on Nov. 18 was only 19°, a record low maximum for the date. The forecast high for Nov. 18, 2016, is almost 50° warmer.
The first snow of the season is possible for parts of West Michigan this weekend. Some areas could see a slushy inch or so of snow. However, it will be nothing compared compared to what the area saw two years ago this week.
