Rain, sleet, snow: West Michigan winter makes a comeback in some places

Rain, snow -- what did you see today?

WEST MICHIGAN - Winter made its comeback in many places in West Michigan on Thursday, while others experienced heavy rain and more spring-like weather.

WZZM 13's investigative reporter Emma Nicholas took a trip from Grand Rapids to Hudsonville to check out the weather conditions before heading east on I-96 toward Lowell. Heavy rains hit the Grand Rapids area and continued into Hudsonville, but just outside of Lowell snow could be seen.

The winter weather advisory formerly in effect until this evening has been called off and everyone will be drying out by Thursday evening, with a brief pit-stop into sub-freezing temperatures followed by a nice warming trend just in time for the weekend.
