Wet Travel Day

A low pressure system will hover over northern Lake Michigan today as the occluded front swings across Lake Huron. A few scattered showers will continue throughout the day with temperatures either holding steady or climbing into the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be south-southwest at 7-14 mph inland and 10-18 mph along the lakeshore.

A few rain showers will be possible tonight. Temperatures will dip into the mid to upper 30s. Winds will be southwest at 6-12 mph inland and 7-14 mph along the lakeshore.

Thanksgiving Day will be partly to mostly cloudy in the morning followed by more rain showers or a rain/snow mix in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low 40s. Winds will be southwest in the morning and shift to the west-northwest in the afternoon at 7-14 mph inland and 8-16 mph along the lakeshore.

Scattered showers or a wintry mix will be possible at times on Friday. Temperatures will rise to around 40 degrees. Winds will be west-northwest at 8-16 mph inland and 10-18 mph along the lakeshore.

Saturday will be partly sunny and a little milder with temperatures in the mid 40s. Winds will be light and variable.

On Sunday, another low pressure system will head towards the Great Lakes region bringing light rain showers to the area. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s. Winds will be southeast shifting to the southwest.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with rain showers mixed with a few wet snowflakes. Temperatures will be around 40 degrees. Winds will be east-northeast.

The 6-10 Day Outlook for Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4 calls for below average temperatures and near average precipitation. Average highs are around 37-39° with average precipitation of .52" and average snowfall of 2.7".

The 8-14 Day Outlook for Wednesday, December 2 through Tuesday, December 8 calls for below average temperatures and near average precipitation. Average highs are around 36-38° with average precipitation of 0.70" and average snowfall of 4.2".
