The West Michigan Women’s Expo returns to Grand Rapids celebrating its 20th year in March, giving women an opportunity to bring their best girls for a weekend that will inspire their personal health, home and style, giving women something to feel good about.
The 2018 Expo is slated for March 9 to 11 at the DeVos Place. This year’s lineup features products and services that aim to provide a weekend of enjoyment, education, and entertainment for women of all ages.
The three-day Expo is the largest single consumer event for women in West Michigan and will feature more than 300 women-owned and women-focused businesses. The Expo will also include a wealth of health information and complimentary assessments – all accessible to women under one roof.
“From shopping to fashion to vacations, this year’s show really does promise to have everything the West Michigan woman wants,” says Pam Glass, President of Kohler Expos, Inc. “The very best from around our state will be on hand, providing demonstrations, food samples and live experiences.
The Expo is also providing the opportunity to give back to the West Michigan community through Hand2Hand, a nonprofit founded in West Michigan in 2008. The Expo entrance will be a collection site for non-perishable food and snacks, which will go home with elementary school children who are at risk of going hungry on the weekend. Hand2Hand began feeding 19 children in 1 school and is now feeding over 4,300 children in 140 schools in West Michigan. Accepted donations include granola bars, fruit cups, trail mix packets, oatmeal packets, and peanut butter and/or cheese crackers (individually packaged). For more information about Hand2Hand, please visit www.hand2handbackpack.org.
Capital Region International Airport (LAN) will be giving away a Travel Voucher, valued at $500, to celebrate the expo’s 20 year anniversary. Women can sign up to win throughout the weekend at the Expo.
The first 200 patrons per day will receive a complimentary tote bag and a complimentary book: Oola for Women: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.
Women will have the opportunity to refresh their look and receive a little pampering at the expo. Treat yourself to an onsite massage and leave the expo with a new hairstyle; braiding, styling and hair demonstrations by Tova Salon, giving your hair a new look for 2018.
Another highlight of this year’s Expo is the presence of locally owned independent business owners.
“Today's market grows more and more competitive, with many new companies emerging daily,” Glass said. “This year's show will feature many different direct sale businesses such as LulaRoe – mobile boutique, Tastefully Simple, Young Living Essential Oils, Tupperware, and Mary Kay. This gives women the opportunity to buy a trusted product while still supporting locally owned, female-run independent businesses.”
The Expo is slated to run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. Admission at the door is $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 6 to 14. For more information, visit www.KohlerExpo.com.
