A little girl went to her own piggy bank to make sure a classmate could take part in a pizza party.

Today's One Good Thing is a proud mamma moment.

This is eight-year-old Mia Dixon. Her classroom had a pizza party on Valentine's Day. It was two dollars per student. On the day of pizza party, she brought that two dollar bill to school, and gave it to her friend so they could eat with the rest of the class.

Mia's mom didn't know she did that until after the fact... because she was afraid she'd get in trouble. Far from.

Her mother says she proud that she and her husband are "raising a child who is kind, compassionate, and generous! Of course I told her this. We NEED more of this!" Yes we do. Mia... you get today's One Good Thing.
