The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 25.
The victim of the robbery was inside his car at the Speedway on Butternut Drive when a suspect got into the passenger side of the car. The suspect produced a knife and demanded money.
The victim was able to back the car up, and dislodge the suspect from the vehicle in order to escape. He then called for help.
The suspect was described as a younger black man wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a unique pattern on the front.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating another armed robbery that also occurred on Feb. 25. That one occurred around 9 p.m. near James Street and 136th Avenue in Holland Township.
In this incident, the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by the suspect who demanded money from the victim and brought a knife.
The two struggled over the knife, and the victim received a minor stab wound to his chest.
This suspect was described at a black man who is about 5 foot 10 and 160 pounds.
Police said the incidents could be related.
