Tulip Time Festival together with the Holland/Zeeland Young Professionals organization, are happy to announce that the Derby soiree of the season is back by popular demand for a second year.
Please join us Saturday, May 5 at Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant in the Black River Ballroom for the tulip-themed derby fundraiser. What better way to celebrate the Holland community and Tulip Time’s 89th year as a festival than with this quirky, southern flared soiree!
Tulips & Juleps kicks-off with a new champagne welcome to ring in spring and the 2018 Tulip Time Festival! This year Tulips & Juleps will feature bourbon tastings, appetizers, yard games, and a viewing of the Kentucky Derby! And, if there are racehorses, there has to be friendly betting, right? This year, Tulip Time and Holland/Zeeland Young Professionals are encouraging guests to pick a favorite horse and participate in some friendly interactive wagers.
Southern Belles, choose your fanciest hat, and gents don your favorite bowtie! Mark your calendars for May 5, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. to gallop into spring with a nice mint julep in hand and tulips all around.
Tickets go on sale February 28; $25 for HYP Members, $40 for non-nembers.
Tulip Time and Holland/Zeeland Young Professionals would like to express their gratitude to Boars Head Provisions, Elisabeth Photography and Design, Mercantile Bank, MI Great Places Inc., Picket Fence Floral and Design, and Vande Bunte Eggs for supporting this event! Proceeds from Tulips & Juleps will be shared by the Holland/Zeeland Young Professionals Endowment Fund and Tulip Time, which generates a $12.9 million economic impact in the greater Holland community each year.
