Sponsored: Muskegon’s Frauenthal Center undergoes summerlong transformation for improved audience experience

The theater’s sound and lighting systems received state-of-the-art upgrades.

MUSKEGON, Mich — There’s been a lot of activity at Muskegon’s Frauenthal Center this summer.  Executive Director Eric Messing invited us in to see what’s been happening.

We started on-stage in the 1,700-seat theater.

The stage itself has been rebuilt.

The theater’s sound and lighting systems received state-of-the-art upgrades.

Messing said the improvements will enhance the theater-going experience but they will also attract shows and performers that previously would not have included Muskegon on their tours.

Messing shared the schedule for the coming season and it reflects the Frauenthal’s new ability to attract some big names and large-scale performances:

Messing said the Frauenthal has also become a popular wedding & event destination along the lakeshore.  He said they have an amazing staff to help plan and execute special events. He said, aside from buying tickets to attend local shows and events, the community can support the Frauenthal by participating in the Day of Giving on September 16, which is the perfect way to celebrate the Frauenthal’s 93rd birthday.  To learn more about the Frauenthal Center, buy tickets, or plan your special event, follow them on social media or visit www.frauenthal.org.
