Keely Lovern

Keely joins us from Youngstown, Ohio where she worked as a reporter and weekend evening anchor for more than two and a half years.

Keely Lovern can't wait to explore all that West Michigan has to offer! Keely joined the 13 ON YOUR SIDE team in March of 2021 as a reporter, focusing primarily on Ottawa County. Keely is passionate about people and their stories, especially helping speak for those who might not be able to speak for themselves. She believes in using the news platform for good and diving deep into the community.

Keely grew up just outside of Columbus, Ohio (yes, you heard that right, we've got a Buckeye fan on our hands) in a small town called Granville. So, she was excited to hear of West Michigan's Grandville - feeling right at home. Keely graduated from Denison University where she was on the varsity swim team and majored in Communication. She also spent a semester in London studying journalism and communication.

Keely joins us from Youngstown, Ohio where she worked as a reporter and weekend evening anchor for more than two and a half years. There, she connected with the disability community and was very involved in Special Olympics and being an advocate for special needs families.

Keely loves to travel, cook and do DIY crafting projects. When she isn't reporting or at the news station, Keely is spending time at home with her English bulldog/beagle mix, Rooney. Her motto is that there are never too many pictures of a cute dog - so always feel free to share yours with her on social media or email.
