Nate joined 13 ON YOUR SIDE in April 2020 and is excited to be reporting back in his hometown of Grand Rapids.

After discovering his love of TV news during a class at Forest Hills Eastern, Nate and his family moved to Dallas, Texas before his junior year of high school. While attending Oklahoma State University, he anchored The OState Report and reported on several high profile events like presidential rallies during the 2016 election and many top tier sporting events (Go Pokes!).

With a degree in multimedia journalism in hand, Nate began his professional television career as a reporter and weekend anchor at WCTI in New Bern, North Carolina. There, some of his favorite stories he got to cover include three years at the Big Rock Marlin Fishing Tournament and traveling to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to cover a local team that made the 2017 Little League World Series, as well as providing live coverage during Hurricane Florence.

While he loved his time in North Carolina, Nate is happy to be back home and sharing the stories of the community he grew up in. In his free time, he loves movies, exploring new places and visiting old favorites around West Michigan, and several things that make his mother call him a nerd (comic books, video games, etc).
