I’m so excited to join The Exchange and My West Michigan family!
This is my first time being a TV Lifestyle Host.
I came from the small town of Niles, Michigan and growing up I always knew I loved telling stories. I remember watching Saturday Night Live host give their introduction and how bad I wanted to be in their shoes. Little did I know I could make a career out of telling stories and being a TV host.
After I graduated high school in 2014, I went on to pursue my dream at Michigan State University School of Journalism. In college I was a features editor and reporter for The State News, MSU’s award-winning student newspaper. Through my work at The State News I landed a summer internship on Mackinac Island at the Mackinac Island Town Crier, an amazing experience I’m so grateful for.
As a proud Michigander, it was a dream living and reporting on the island. The coolest part of my job was I strapped on the newspapers to the back of my bike and dropped them off at local businesses and residents around the island, old school style!
Throughout my college career I also took interest in acting and film. I was a part of the MSU Theatre2Film program where students created a feature film and I was also a production assistant on the Netflix film, “Crowning Jules”.
I graduated from MSU’s J-School in May of 2018 and as I continued to grow in the world of journalism, I went on to kick start my career at MLive Media Group/The Grand Rapids Press in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
At MLive Media Group, I was a general assignment reporter covering breaking news, features, and local events. I was fortunate enough to dabble in social videos and started making YouTube videos called, High End Homes, where I hosted and toured million-dollar homes in West Michigan.
Through creating social videos at MLive, I realized I wanted to pursue a career as a TV host, which led me to My West Michigan and The Exchange!
I’m looking forward to staying in Grand Rapids and sharing news with West Michigan and you can contact me at email@example.com.
