Lauren Bushnell's love with Ben Higgins just wasn't meant to last.
The Bachelor alum revealed on Instagram on Wednesday that her famous ex didn't have her "whole heart" -- and neither did her other former boyfriend, Devin Antin.
Bushnell made the confession when replying to a fan who commented on her latest photo with her current love, Chris Lane. The blonde beauty captioned the pic with "my whole heart," leading one follower to ask, "Haven't your last 3 boyfriends been your whole heart?"
"Honestly no," Bushnell wrote back. "I mean that's the truth. Lol looking back now that I know what it's supposed to feel like -- they did not I just wanted them to."
Bushnell and Higgins called off their engagement in May 2017, a year and a half after she accepted his proposal on the season 20 finale of The Bachelor. Months later, she started dating Antin, but they split just over a year later, in August 2018.
In an interview with ET last May, Higgins took some responsibility for his romance with Bushnell coming to an end. "It's so easy to be the victim... and so when you start looking inward and saying, 'OK, what exactly did I do that affected this breakup or this relationship negatively?' [and] for me, it's my reactions towards things," he said. "The other part of this [is] I’m too sensitive. I just get so sensitive sometimes, and that affects just my normal relationships because I doubt all the time in the back of my head, you know, is this relationship for real? Do they really like me? Do they really care? Or let’s throw another one out there, do they really love me?"
Higgins recently went public with his new girlfriend, Jessica Clarke, while Lane told ET earlier this month that he sees engagement in his and Bushnell's future.
"It’s been so easy, she makes me laugh so hard, we have so much fun together," he said of their relationship. "She actually just moved her life from L.A. to Nashville, and I was a little nervous about that because I’m probably the cleanest person in the world and I thought to myself, 'If she’s not ... it could be a deal breaker in a way.'"
