Unfortunately, it looks like the odds of Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze Jr. reuniting for a project aren't looking good!

The 42-year-old actress was on hand at WE Day California, the world's largest youth empowerment event which celebrates doing social good, where she offered the logic behind her and her hubby of 17 years not working together again.

"I doubt it, because then who's home with children?" she pointed out to ET's Katie Krause at the event. The couple are proud parents to a boy named Rocky, 6, and a girl named Charlotte, 9.

When asked if maybe the kids could get in on the acting fun, Gellar playfully offered the camera a scared look and shook her head.

The pair have worked on a number of projects together throughout their careers including 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer and 2002's Scooby-Do.

While on hand, the leading lady also offered fans an update on her pal Selma Blair's well-being. As fans know, earlier this year Blair revealed to fans that she suffers from MS.

"She's amazing. She's Selma," Gellar shared. "Her sense of humor is intact maybe her body is not where she'd like it to be at this very moment but it's not gonna stop here from doing anything."

"I joke that [when] I have a cold and I don't wanna get out of bed for two weeks. But this girl just does the school run every morning and [is] out there at birthday parties and is not letting an illness stop her from accomplishing everything and anything," she added.

Gellar, a long-time supporter of WE Day, shared the significance of the event and charity to her.

"Honestly I went to my first one not knowing what to expect and I just, I was balling," she shared. "I was so moved by the teachers, by the kids, by the energy. And it makes you wanna go home and do more and accomplish more. And those are the days that are the most important."

"I talk to my kids a lot about giving back," she added. "But today's really special because I have my daughter here today. She gets to see firsthand what these kids her age are accomplishing."

The day of festivities included renowned speakers and big performances. Kids earn their way to the event by helping combat one local issue and one global issue.

The WE Day special showcasing the day's event is scheduled to air on August 9 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
