Spring Parade of Homes begins Friday

The parade will feature custom homes, and condos from 16 different West Michigan communities.

It's one of the most anticipated events in West Michigan real estate. The annual Spring Parade of Homes gets underway Friday, May 25.

The parade will showcase 66 homes, ranging from the modest to million dollar mansions.

The annual event is presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids and sponsored by Lake Michigan Credit Union. It features homes built by 55 different builders, including Epique Homes which has a 5,336 square foot, 5 bedroom/5 bathroom Ada home on the parade tour.

Owner Troy Schrock says the Parade of Homes is popular because it provides inspiration for potential home buyers or those looking to remodel.

"People really like coming to see the craftsmanship of the builders as well as the design work. We have a team of people working together to pull this off," says Schrock.

Homes will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 5 to 9 p.m and Memorial Day, May 28 from 1 to 9 p.m.

The parade will feature custom homes, and condos from 16 different West Michigan communities. They include: Ada, Allendale, Alto, Bryon Center, Caledonia, Cedar Springs, Conklin, Coopersville, East Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Hudsonville, Jenison, Lowell, Plainwell, Rockford, Spring lake, Walker, West Olive and Zeeland.

Tickets are $10 if purchased on the website or at any Lake Michigan Credit Union branch. They can also be purchased at the homes for $12.
