This weekend in West Michigan, enjoy professional pumpkin carvings, trick or treating, a pumpkin themed run and more fall fun.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Every Wednesday, we help you plan your weekend with Grand Rapids Kids -- with Halloween on the horizon, there are several events to get you in the spirit.

See the work of professional pumpkin carvers, grab a hayride, enjoy the farmers market, and paint your own pumpkin, at the Holland Fall Fest. The fun is happening in downtown Holland on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Trick or Treat Trail at Lamar Park in Wyoming is Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event connects local businesses with the community, and includes free candy, games, face painting, bounce houses and a DJ.

The Great Pumpkin Run is happening at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Enjoy 3.1 miles through the park, and around the river, with apple cider at the finish line. Runners also receive their own small pumpkin.

And finally, the Fennville Goose Festival is happening Friday through Sunday to celebrate local traditions in the city’s downtown area. It features a car show, arts & crafts show, 5K, gosling run, carnival, parade and tractor show.
