What's Up This Weekend: Valentine's Day, a board game brought to life and more

Leading up to Valentine’s Day, there are some special events going on

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Every Wednesday, we help you plan your weekend with Grand Rapids Kids —leading up to Valentine’s Day, there are some special events going on.

First up, shop for your special someone, at the Valentine's Love A-Fair craft show at The Lakes Mall. It's on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and is free to the public. More than 50 booths will feature local handmade items and small business, helping you find the perfect gifts.

Sticking with the Valentine's Day theme, the Grand Rapids Art Museum is hosting the Art, Love, and Chocolate Tour. People can explore love, depicted in artwork throughout the galleries, and get a chocolate treat at the end. The tours are on Saturday, at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from 4 to 7 dollars, and members are free. Your deadline to register is Wednesday, February 5.

And finally, head to Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids, to catch the Human Hungry Hungry Hippos Tournament on ice. It's happening on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be food trucks on-site. The event is one of many, during the month-long World of Winter Festival.
