GRand Jazz Fest line-up announced

Nationally renowned Euge Groove will headline the seventh annual jazz festival that takes place in downtown Grand Rapids.

The line-up for the annual GRand Jazz Fest music event was revealed on Monday, April 30—which is also national jazz day.

The free two day festival will feature ten different groups that explore the many facets of jazz.

The announcement was made at a reveal party, which also had live jazz music.

This year's GRand Jazz Fest is going to be on Aug. 18 and 19 in Rosa Parks Circle.

The rest of the schedule is:

Saturday, August 18

  • Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra with Edye Evans-Hyde, 12:30 p.m.
  • John Gist, 2 p.m.
  • Kevin Jones and Tenth World, 3:30 p.m.
  • Oli Silk, 5 p.m.
  • Lin Rountree, 6:30 p.m.
  • Euge Groove, 8 p.m.

Sunday, August 19

  • Student Jazz Band: Lushh, 1 p.m.
  • Grupo Ayé, 2:30 p.m.
  • Marcus Anderson, 4 p.m.
  • Nelson Rangell and Steve Oliver, 5:30 p.m.
