GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Hip-hop legend O'Shea Jackson, more commonly known as Ice Cube, will be playing in Grand Rapids for the first time ever this summer.
The former NWA member is playing Saturday, July 28 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 18 at 10 a.m.
According to a media release, this visit is history in the making because Cube has never played in Grand Rapids.
Special guests include two other members of NWA, MC Ren and DJ Yella. Also expected to perform is Ice T, Tha Dogg Pound and AMG. 27 years ago Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Ren and Yella created NWA and released the groundbreaking album Straight Outta Compton.
The groups story was made into a popular movie in 2015, and O'Shea Jackson Jr portrayed his father.
Tickets for the concert will be available at Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place Box Offices, also online at Ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
