Meghan Markle: Nominated for award and the Queen's food restriction

Meghan Markle was nominated for an award, but she probably can't go to the award show! Plus, there's one food that she won't be allowed to eat in public anymore.

Will Meghan Markle ever slow down? Following her train tour with the Queen, her numerous events with the royal family and her husband Prince Harry, it seems as if her fairytale wedding was eons ago! However, Meghan may have to make room for a new trinket in her home in London.

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has been nominated for the Choice Style Icon award at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, making her the first royal to ever be considered for an honor at FOX’s annual ceremony.

The Style Icon Award, which has gone to past celebs like Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, is chosen by fans and presented to the winner on August 12 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Meghan is up against Blake Lively, Migos, Harry Styles, Chadwick Boseman, and Zendaya this year.

Meghan has constantly been a trend-setter, especially since her royal engagement, known for her messy bun, gorgeous dresses and boho-elegant style. Rumors are that there is no way Meghan could attend this award ceremony - but all can still vote for her despite her probable no-show.

Along with a "no award show" policy that is probably in effect for the Duchess of Sussex, it seems that isn't the only thing she will have to forgo. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth is no fan of garlic and forbids any members of the royal family from eating it while in public!

According to Express, garlic is essentially banned from being included in foods eaten by royal family members at state banquets and events. With there being so much interaction between official visitors, the Queen has spoken out against garlic to prevent any awkward bad breath - even most onions are outlawed on menus as well.

Buckingham Palace's royal chef revealed that "the Queen would never have garlic on the menu."

Despite the Queen's personal feelings, Meghan is still allowed to eat garlic in private.
