West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT) will celebrate their sixth annual iBall benefiting their mission to provide a culture of opportunity for people to make social and economic progress in their lives and community.

Notable community leaders will be awarded for innovation, inspiration, imagination and the impact they’ve had on arts and technology in the West Michigan community.

The gala will take place on Wednesday, March 29, at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel Ambassador Ballroom at 6 p.m. Individual tickets are $100 per person, and will include a three-course meal, drinks and entertainment provided by local Latin band, Cabildo.

WZZM 13's Val Lego, will serve as the event emcee.

iBall 2017 honorees include:

  • WMCAT Award for Imagination – CARNEVALE, founder and principal, Mike Carnevale;
  • WMCAT Award for Innovation – Grand Rapids, Mich. Mayor, Rosalynn Bliss;
  • WMCAT Award for Inspiration – George Bayard III, founder of Grand Rapids African American Museum & Archives.
