June is a great time to explore Muskegon

See a variety of fun events going on this June in Muskegon.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — There's is a ton of fun to be had in Muskegon -- from a women's cruise, Parties in the Park, Taste of Muskegon and even Mercy Health Seaway Run. There's something for everyone and Kirk takes a look at what's going on.

Andy O'Riley with Positively Muskegon brings us a look at it all. All the details are below:

May 29th – The Workaholic Women’s Wednesday Cruise on the Aquastar with Britta Cleveland. Jump on board the Aquastar for a great girl’s night out. Music, dancing, vendors with great things for women.. Appetizers drinks and a beautiful ride on Muskegon Lake out to Lake Michigan. $25 for tickets at aquastarcruises.com

May 31st kicks off Parties in the Park at Hackley Park in Downtown Muskegon. It’s an every Friday party from 5-9p. Great music and fun in beautiful Hackley Park and every event raises money for an area nonprofit. Friday night tradition in Muskegon so come hang out. Admission is free.

June 7th – Taste of White Lake. Head just north of town to enjoy the great food that the Montague and Whitehall Area has to offer. If you have not been up to Montague and Whitehall lately, go. It’s a picturesque and charming area and this festival is all about raising a few bucks to continue the renovation of the historic Howmet Playhouse.

June 10th -15th Kicks off the Muskegon Heights Festival in the Park at Rowan Park in Muskegon Heights. Something every night from free movies to gospel music to comedy and more. Car shows, food vendors a carnival and more. You can find out more on the Muskegon Heights Festival in the Park FB Page.

June 14th and 15th Taste of Muskegon in Hackley Park. Foodie Delight with food, beverage, music and fun. Powerboat street party, kids zone. Chef Char will be on hand with some cooking demos and more.

June 22nd The Mercy Health Seaway Run is happening with a 5k, 10k, half marathon and community walk. The 5k runs through downtown Muskegon and begins at 8:05 a.m. The 10k will follow the 5k course and run through Nim's neighborhood with a scheduled start time of 7:50 a.m. The half marathon will begin at 7 a.m. and starts at the corner of 4th and Western. The community walk will immediately follow the 5k run and begin at the corner of 4th and Western.

You can run or walk its longstanding event in Muskegon and so many come from all over to participate. You can find info at seawayrun.com.
