Positively Muskegon events for June

Andy O' Riley shares his top events going on this July in the Muskegon area.

July 3 and 4 – Muskegon Rockstock at Heritage Landing. Great fun for the entire family featuring Mega 80's – Yard Sale Underwear and Flexidecible – 1 Heart the 90's – Kid Stock activities for kids – food, drink fireworks and more. $5 to get in and an outstanding way to spend the holiday.

July 6 and 7 – The Lakeshore Art Festival Presented by the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. More than 300 artists and crafters. Plenty of opportunities to stroll the area and enjoy interactive events as well as delectable food. There will be street performer kid's activities. The streets are filled with people, Hackley park is alive with excitement and Muskegon really gets a chance to shine. More details online at lakeshoreartfestival.org

July 18-21 Biketime and Rebel Road. Two giant motorcycle events that draw riders in from all over the country. Thousands of motorcycles, hundreds of vendors, music, beer tents, people to watch and a sensory over load. They are both signature events for the summer and something we invite everyone out to be a part of.

July 20 – The Muskegon Clippers kick off a home stand at historic Marsh Field. Marsh Field is one of the most historic sites in all of Muskegon. Today, the Clippers are a Summer league of collegiate players who are on their way to the big leagues. Tickets are only $5 and the up close and intimate atmosphere is unmatched in West Michigan for baseball.

July 21 - 2000 Man March 3. Rowan Park in Muskegon Heights. This is an event organized by Eddie Sanders Jr. It's a day to emphasize the importance of community togetherness. Free event and open to all. Kids activities, food, music a march through the streets and truly an event that brings Muskegon together. It gets underway at 11 a.m. and continues through the afternoon and it's truly a remarkable experience to be a part of.

July 26 - 29 - The Sandy Corley Memorial Run at the Double JJ in Rothbury. 30th anniversary of this incredible event that raises money for the Johnson Center for Cancer Care in Muskegon. Everything is included with your ticket. Camping, concerts… Blue Oyster Cult…Wayland….Tom Keifer of Cinderella will be there. Over the years The Fremont HOG Chapter has raised more than $2 million dollars with this event.
