The annual "Soup for All" event in Grand Haven is being held Thursday Nov. 17th, 2016 from 11:30-1pm at St. Patrick's Church. That's on Beacon Blvd in Grand Haven. It's $10 to attend and tickets can be purchased at the door
All funds raised are given back to homelessness prevention programs in the northern part of the county. The money goes toward The Salvation Army's Rent assistance program, The People Center's transitional housing program, and Grand Haven Public Schools Homeless student assistance program. 40% of the funds go to local food pantries.
This event was started in 2004 because November is Homeless awareness month.
$14,000 was raised in 2015.
