Margaret and Jonah of West Michigan Pawn stopped by the show to discuss West Michigan Pawn as an alternative shopping source.

The store carries unique items -- that in some cases -- are one-of-a kind and only found there. For example, the business has carried unique items including a dinosaur egg, U.S. currency printed in Muskegon before all currency was printed at U.S. Mint. Both items have West Michigan origins.

Many of the items, you may not find at an antique store or flea market. Sometimes an item can only found at an estate sale or yard sale. In addition, West Michigan Pawn often purchases unused gift cards the holder does not want. For example, you receive a gift card for a particular store or restaurant but do not shop or eat at those particular entities, you then may be able to sell the gift card to West Michigan Pawn for someone else to purchase who shops or eats at the particular store or restaurant.

Items vary from unique music instruments to everyday items to unique and stylish jewelry including gold and silver. Pawn stores have very strict regulations and laws they must follow with regard to the trading or selling of items. West Michigan Pawn does not sell handguns or rifles.

If you are looking for an alternative shopping source visit West Michigan Pawn in downtown Grand Haven. Bargaining and negotiating is always welcome and a fun part of the shopping experience.
