GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With more than 150 shops, galleries, and restaurants, Traverse City is a perfect destination for celebrating the holidays and enjoying some holiday shopping. We checked out one of the newest shops in downtown Traverse City and then we stopped by an old favorite.
Apogee opened its doors this fall and features unique gift items for everyone on your list. Much of their merchandise has been made here in Michigan, so it is a perfect opportunity to shop local in every way. Check them out on Facebook and even shop on the Apogee Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ApogeeTCMI/.
Cherry Republic has gift giving down to a fine art. Of course, Michigan's Northwest Lower Peninsula is the largest producer of tart cherries in the United States. The region puts up 75% of the country's variety of Montmorency cherries. Cherry Republic uses those cherries in more than 200 cherry products including salsas, chocolate covered cherries, cherry nut mixes, and much more.
There are Cherry republic stores in Glen Arbor, Traverse City, Ann Arbor, Charlevoix, Frankenmuth, and Holland. If you can’t make it to a store, shop online and ship your gifts at www.cherryrepublic.com.
