GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — September is National Recovery Month, highlighting treatment for substance use disorders such as alcohol and opioids and celebrating people in recovery. Recovery month was introduced because often people don’t talk about recovering from addiction and substance use disorders because of stigma, guilt, and shame.

Pine Rest and others in the treatment and recovery community want to spread the message that there is hope, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover from substance use disorders every day.

Pine Rest offers a full continuum of addiction services that range from residential detoxification to traditional outpatient services in West Michigan and Kalamazoo. For help determining an appropriate level of care or details, please call 866-852-4001.

Visit the Pine Rest website for more information on substance use disorders, treatment, and recovery.
