Zehnder's of Frankenmuth brings families together for the holidays

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth is known for its world famous chicken dinners.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It was a full house in Zehnder's Restaurant as trays of food zipped out of the kitchen, the fire place was going and every inch of the establishment was decked out in Christmas decorations.

Meanwhile, hundreds of folks were patiently looking around the restaurant in amazement, waiting to be the next table to try the world famous chicken dinner.

This is a typical day at Zehnder's Restaurant.

A tradition of good taste began more than 160 years ago when the Exchange Hotel opened its doors in 1856. The Zehnder family purchased the hotel in 1928 beginning their tradition of good food and hospitality that continues to this day.

Since then, the Zehnder's experience has been enjoyed by millions of guests from all over the world.
