High school bands unite to honor fellow member with cancer

They're rivals on the football field, but two West Michigan bands will unite for a fellow band member with cancer.

ALLENDALE, Mich. - They're rivals on the football field, but not in the band room. Two West Michigan bands will unite under the Friday night lights for a fellow band member with cancer.

Allendale High School and West Catholic High School's football teams play against each other on Friday, but the two school's marching band will take the field as one, to honor Allendale band member, Chris Love, who's been diagnosed with cancer.

Both bands are selling tee-shirts at Friday night's game at Allendale High School. Each shirt costs $10, with $5 going toward the cost of the shirt and $5 going toward Love's family to help with medical costs.
