The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is hosting a variety of upcoming holiday events, making it the one-stop destination in Grand Rapids for holiday cheer the whole family can enjoy.

Guests can pick out a freshly-cut Christmas tree and decor, visit Santa and give them their Christmas lists, sip hot cocoa while shopping local for special gifts and more.

Holiday events include:

Christmas Tree & Decor Lot:

Open until Dec. 10, under the Market Shed. (Weekdays, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Sun. 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.)

Find the perfect holiday wreath or tree at the Christmas Tree Lot, hosted by Lenderink Tree Farms. Poinsettias are also available to purchase inside, to complete the decor.

Winter Wonderland:

Dec. 5 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. throughout the Market

Celebrate the season with a family event perfect for kids and adults! Get in the spirit of the season with an extra hour of shopping - all Market businesses open until 8 p.m. for one night only. Free activities during the Winter Wonderland Open House include a holiday artisan market featuring 25+ local entrepreneurs and artisans, visits with Santa in the greenhouse, stations for writing and “mailing” letters to Santa, kids hand-on “Christmas cones” treat making, live holiday food and beverage demonstrations, Holland Dickens Carolers, bar serving beer, wine and specialty drinks made with Market ingredients and a winter clothing donation drive to benefit Degagé Ministries.

Snacks with Santa:

Dec. 12 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on the Market second floor.

Kids can visit the Downtown Market and share a snack with the big man in red, play holiday bingo, make special holiday crafts and more. Free event.

Visits with Santa:
Dec. 15 – 17, on the Market second floor.

Guests can stop by the Downtown Market to visit the big guy himself! Kids can bring their wish lists to ensure they land on his 'nice' list. Free event. Click here for exact times.
